This vision inspired the creation of our Leadership Scholarship Program – now in its third edition – designed to support aspiring leaders on their journey toward shaping the future of aviation.
We are glad to highlight the success story of Wheto Joseph Seyon, a team leader aircraft maintenance engineer.

2. What motivated you to apply for the scholarship?
" As an aircraft maintenance engineer with growing leadership responsibilities, I was keen to sharpen my leadership skills and align them with international best practices. The scholarship presented a perfect chance to access high-quality training that would prepare me for current and future leadership roles in the aviation industry."
3. What were the most valuable lessons or skills you gained through the program?
" The most valuable takeaways for me were enhanced communication strategies, effective decision-making in high-pressure environments and a deeper understanding of how leadership influences safety culture in aviation. The program helped me better appreciate the human factors involved in leadership and team management."
4. How has the scholarship influenced your confidence, mindset, or career opportunities?
" The scholarship significantly boosted my confidence as a team lead. It helped me approach challenges more strategically and has opened doors to new opportunities where strong leadership is crucial. I now find myself more prepared to take on complex projects and guide others effectively."
5. What did you enjoy most about learning through Sofema Online?
